Battlefield Hardline: Impressions
With E3 2014 on the horizon, leaked footage of a new Battlefield game named Battlefield Hardline has been shown around the web, gathering immense attention from gaming fans. This is the first Battlefield game to be shown before its predecessor turns one year old.
Let's talk about combat. To be honest, there is nothing different regarding combat in this Battlefield, except with the inclusion of a taser and new guns. No new knifing system was shown, so it is expected to stay the same. However, the game modes in Battlefield Hardline has never been seen before in a Battlefield game. For now, it looks promising and would be a nice distraction away from the normal Conquest and TDM.
This year's Campaign , developed by Visceral Games, brings a sense of intrigue towards it's storyline. Previous Battlefield campaigns have always lacked depth and ended too fast. This year helmed by the makers of critically acclaimed Dead Space, might just finally rival COD's campaign. And yes. it has 4 player coop.
The Bottom Line
Battlefield Hardline's singleplayer looks like the best I have ever seen since Bad Company. With the inclusion of 4 player coop, it might even attract some players who are interested in the story. Other than that however, everything else is not innovative enough. The multiplayer could have just been a DLC for Battlefield 4 ; if its charging 60 dollars for this game I will not buy it.
