My FPS Experience

The debate of which FPS game is the best never stops. Whether Battlefield, Titanfall or COD is your favourite game, today I will tell you about my experiences with all three. No ratings, no scores, just my experience. But first, let's take a trip down memory lane , back to the game that changed the way I played.

I remembered the day I got my first FPS game. I recently passed my exams with flying colours, and got the chance to grab a PC game. I looked around the store, and eventually came to a conclusion - I was going to buy Star Wars: Republic Commando.  I was so excited I immediately decided to try it after going back home and thus missed a friend's party.

Everything about Republic Commando was so........different compared to games I was used to playing : NBA , Civilization , etc. It was fast-paced, and it was first person. That was what really attracted me. First person shooting. It made you feel like a real soldier. Exhilarating.

Now let's head back to the present: the raging war between the three video games. Let's start with Battlefield. Battlefield 4 in my opinion, wasn't a step-up to previous games in it's franchise.  Nonetheless , it is still a fantastic game. The war around you feels real ; and I really felt like a soldier contributing to my team. Kudos to DICE for making that happen. On the other hand, there were too much spots for camping, it was easy to just camp on rooftops and snipe for the whole game. Counter-knifing was also a thing that made me feel uneasy. Tailing an enemy and waiting for a perfect opportunity to strike, just to see him turn at the last second and counter me was really, really frustrating.

Call Of Duty Ghosts, I felt was practically the same as Black Ops II. I didn't feel anything different playing the new version of COD. There was no new changes to the gameplay, nor did the graphics feel revolutionary. It's like FIFA - recycled every year with almost little to no differences. The single-player campaign is the reason why I still keep COD.

I really didn't know what to expect from Titanfall. New IP, new company. I thought I was going to be heading into a Call Of Duty clone. What surprised me was how diverse it is. You want to play it the Battlefield way- Using tanks like a boss? Done with Titans. You want to play it the COD way- rambo in and shoot everyone? Done. Or would you rather play it the Titanfall way- wallrunning, wallhanging, reaching the other end of the map in mere seconds? The choice is yours.

There really is no answer to which is the best. It's just what type of gaming is your preference. If I was asked my opinion..... I would say choose Battlefield if you're into large , realistic warfare. If you love to test your reflexes, then COD is the game for you. If you want to play with different methods, then I suggest you check Titanfall.

So there it is- my true and copyrighted opinion on all three games. I hope I helped you choose the perfect game for you. It would have been my greatest pleasure from writing.

Good Day,
Robbie.
